Ms.Ganguli Pramodya Ariyawansa is a Junior Lecturer/ Laboratory Demonstrator in the School of Sciences at AIBS.

Ms.Ganguli Pramodya Ariyawansa has completed her B.Sc. (Hons.) in Biotechnology with a first class from Nilai University, Malaysia in 2021. She has also completed a Diploma in Biotechnology at Horizon Campus, Sri Lanka (Diploma is offered by Nilai University, Malaysia) with a Distinction in 2018. A Gold medal was awarded to Ms.Ganguli by Horizon campus, Sri Lanka for obtaining the highest CGPA in ‘Diploma in Biotechnology’ for the intake of 2015-2018. In 2019, Nilai university, Malaysia awarded her a scholarship based on her outstanding academic achievements.

Ms.Ganguli  has hands on experience in biotechnology related laboratory techniques including; plasmid and genomic DNA extraction, usage of Conventional PCR, Blue/white screening, Haemocytometry, ELISA, gel electrophoresis, micropropagation and several other microbiological techniques. She has industrial exposure as well, as she has done an internship attached to the Production Department of a leading Food manufacturing company in Sri Lanka.

During her bachelors, Ms.Ganguli voluntarily worked as a student mentor at Student Care Center of Nilai University, Malaysia, wherein she provided science tutoring for her fellow colleagues. Ms.Ganguli was involved in several research projects related to Antioxidants, Environmental science, Microbiology and Virtual learning. She has published a research article in an international peer-reviewed journal. She was also awarded as the “Best Presenter” at the Undergraduate Research Conference 2021 (URC 2021) organized by Nilai University, Malaysia.

Ms.Ganguli has contributed to symposiums and science camps organized by Nilai University, Malaysia, as a member of the organizing committee.  She was also an organizing committee member of some volunteer environmental projects carried out in Malaysia. Moreover, she has hosted science programs/events and participated in online forums as well.
